简历：

            1963年毕业于中国科学技术大学，后分配至中国科学院生物物理研究所工作至今
            1986年晋升为研究员，博士生导师
            1982-1984年作为Humboldt研究员留学德国马-普生化所
            1989年作为Wellcome研究员客座英国约克大学
            2005年当选为中国科学院院士
            曾任中国科学院生物物理研究所副所长，中国生物物理学会副理事长，中国科学院生物物理研究所分子生物学研究中心主任
            任中国科学院生物物理研究所学位委员会主席，《生物化学与生物物理进展》主编，《中国大百科全书》第二版生物学科常务副主编

研究组工作摘要：

主要研究领域为结构生物学，主要从事蛋白质的结构、功能与分子改造（蛋白质工程）研究。运用X-射线晶体结构分析方法研究一些重要蛋白质的三维结构及其与生物功能的关系，并以此为基础结合可能的医药应用开展相关蛋白质工程研究。近年来的主要研究对象为一些与天然免疫相关的重要蛋白，包括一系列天然神经毒素，抗微生物蛋白，抗肿瘤蛋白和抗病毒蛋白，以及还开展了造血干细胞和痢疾杆菌的结构基因组学研究。近期重点研究一些健康与疾病相关的重要蛋白质及其复合物的结构与功能，包括Cul3介导的泛素连接酶复合物，一些动物病原菌致病相关的重要蛋白质/复合物，以及一系列芳香化合物微生物降解途径中的关键蛋白质/复合物。2006-2007年完成4种蛋白质及复合物的晶体结构研究，已发表和被接受发表论文8篇。其中对动物病原菌三型分泌系统蛋白质效应物SpvC及其活性多肽底物三维结构及其与功能关系的研究，发现全新的蛋白质结构，阐明SpvC与致病通路中关键激酶MAPK相互作用，进而阻断宿主天然免疫应答的机理。由于这类病原菌效应物同时存在于动植物中，因而具有重要意义。有关论文已发表在Molecular Cell。
